The welded PHE removes the gasket entirely. Plates are laser-welded into pairs, pairs are stacked and welded into a sealed pack. There is no elastomer in the wetted path. There is no copper in the wetted path. For a CDU loop where fluid chemistry is tightly specified and any elastomer leachables are a problem, this is the right exchanger. Fully 316L wetted, with no copper braze in contact with the working fluid — for high-purity TCS coolants, semiconductor-adjacent installs, or chemistry specs that rule out copper.
