A CDU branch needs to be opened cleanly. Hot-swapping a sidecar or a row-CDU module while the loop is live means the technician needs (a) positive isolation, (b) zero spill on disconnect, and (c) a mechanical interlock that prevents the coupling from being removed before the valve is closed. Sifang's three-piece precision-cast ball valve in the EBV (ferrule / clamp) trim, paired with an interlocking quick-disconnect coupling on the downstream side, gives that. Close the valve, and only then does the QD release.
