A CDU and its secondary loop have to be filled, flushed, and periodically topped up. That is a different duty than circulation — intermittent, run from a barrel or tote, and it does not need the head and life that a primary circulator does. Pairing a 50,000-hour mag-drive pump with that job is overkill; a barrel hand-pump is too slow.
